Trade Planning Analyst

Your Opportunity

The Trade Planning Analyst is responsible for review and approval of trade programs for assigned territory as well as some creation activities. This role is a Blacksmith super user in program entry, approvals, problem solving, deal analysis, and broker training.

Core Responsibilities

  • Blacksmith program approval and limited entry with strict adherence to standard business operating practices; expectation is for 100% accuracy and accountability for programs and territories managed by the analyst.

  • Must be able to review information received for program approval and ensure program is accurately entered for the correlating business scenario and program backup is attached as required.

  • User & sales coaching may be required.

  • Program and accrual auditing to include assisting sales, brokers, business management, and claims with program, account, claim, and margin analysis including in depth troubleshooting protocols; complete understanding of all best practices with regard to program and financial data in order to properly fund deals, programs to customers.

  • Analytics for accounts to include: deal accuracy, adjustment validation, review of supporting documentation to ensure everything needed for each program type is available and all programs are accurately funded.

  • Report creation and distribution in accordance with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements. Also includes ad hoc reporting for sales, claims, business management, and management teams.

  • Participation in adhoc projects as requested by management.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong Computer skills to include knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Experience with Blacksmith, Forge Analytics, and BI preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
