Shane Smith
President and Chief Executive Officer
Shane Smith assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer for Smithfield Foods in 2021. Based at the global food company’s headquarters in Smithfield, Virginia, he guides its vision and strategic direction across operations in the United States, Europe and Mexico. Mr. Smith has held a variety of leadership roles in the company’s U.S. and international operations since joining in 2003. He most recently served as chief strategy officer, where he helped develop, execute and sustain the company’s efforts to achieve growth through its own resources, as well as through mergers and acquisitions.

Michael Flemming serves as Chief Legal Officer for Smithfield Foods.
Mark Hall
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Hall assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in January 2023, leading the finance, accounting, treasury and tax functions at Smithfield Foods. Hall previously served as Smithfield's Executive Vice President, Finance. He joined Smithfield in 2014 as vice president, finance, for the John Morrell Food Group. In 2015, he was promoted to vice president of finance for Smithfield's combined Packaged Meats businesses. In 2019, he was promoted to senior vice president, finance, overseeing financial operations for Smithfield's Fresh Pork and Packaged Meats businesses. He assumed his current position as executive vice president, finance, in late 2020. He began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen, LLP and worked in equity research for Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. Prior to joining Smithfield, he held finance positions of increasing responsibility with The Quaker Oats Company and McCain Foods USA.
Randy Haines
Chief Procurement Officer
Randy Haines returned to Smithfield Foods in 2021 and serves as our Chief Procurement Officer and Senior Vice President of Supply Chain responsible for the procurement, distribution and transportation functions. Prior to rejoining Smithfield, Randy started and managed a successful boutique procurement consulting firm focused on reducing costs for large manufacturers, primarily in the food and beverage sector, on their packaging and ingredient spend. During his first tenure at Smithfield, Randy was instrumental in centralizing the strategic sourcing function with growing responsibility over those 6 years. Randy has over 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain and holds a B.S. in Management and an MBA from Purdue University.

Tony Vojslavek
Chief Risk Officer
Tony Vojslavek joined Smithfield as Chief Risk Officer in December 2022. Tony is responsible for leading Smithfield’s vertically integrated commodities risk management strategy and implementing improvements within our global hedging strategy from farm to fork. Tony has more than 15 years of experience in risk analysis, risk management and hedging strategy in agriculture, ingredient, fertilizer and energy markets. He began his career with ConAgra Foods and has held various risk management and leadership positions with Gavilon and Green Plains.
